Default Best way to save

During my career, I have managed all types and levels of employees. It usually goes to say that most people do not know how to manage their own money.

My advice to prepare for retirement is:
  • Start early - You should start with your first job and never stop contributing
  • Contribute as much as you can to the 401k - Do not EVER pass up a company match on your contributions. At a minimum, contribute at least enough money to get the full match.
  • Monitor you investments – you need to treat your investments like your annual doctor visits. Adjust our investments as the economy changes and become more conservative as your age gets closer to retirement.

Good luck!
